Brad Hawn

Brad Hawn

Location Manager, Licensed Funeral Director

Brad has been a licensed funeral director since 1985 and a partner in Warner Funeral Home since 1994. He attended the University of Northern Iowa and received his B.A. degree from Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa and a degree in mortuary science from Worsham College of Mortuary Science in Chicago, IL, in 1984.


Brad served on the Iowa Board of Mortuary Science Examiners for three terms. He is a member of Foundation Church in Spencer. Brad is a past board member of the Spencer Family YMCA, where he served on the Century Club as well as the Endowment Committee. He served as a board member of the Clay County American Heart Association for several years as the Communications Chairman. Brad is also a past member of the Spencer Rotary Club, the Spencer Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, and the Spencer Jaycees.


Brad and his wife, Jennifer, enjoy spending time with their children: Abby and her husband, Nate, and their daughters Amelia, Nora, and Mattea; Bailey; Meredith; and Drew.

Casey Vaughan

Casey grew up on a farm south of Emmetsburg, IA. He graduated from Emmetsburg High School in 2004. He then attended Iowa Lakes Community College and the University of Sioux Falls before attending and graduating from Worsham College of Mortuary Science in Wheeling, IL in 2007. Casey completed his apprenticeship at Reece Funeral Home in Ottumwa, IA, in 2008. He joined the team at Warner Funeral Home in 2009.


Casey enjoys spending time with his wife, Emily, and their three daughters: Finley, Callie, and Lainey. Casey is a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Spencer YMCA, and Spencer Jaycees. 


Jeff Swank

Jeff Swank

Licensed Funeral Director

Jeff has been a licensed funeral director since 1996 and has been working at Warner Funeral Home since 2000. He became a partner at Warner Funeral Home in 2006. Jeff received his A.A. degree from Des Moines Area Community College in Ankeny in 1994 and a degree in mortuary science from Worsham College of Mortuary Science in Wheeling, IL, in 1995.


Jeff is a member of Grace United Methodist Church and Kiwanis. He and his wife, Carla, have two children, Michael and Marisa.

Nate Roos

Licensed Funeral Director

Nate returned to Spencer after several years of funeral service in Chicago, Phoenix, and Des Moines. He is a 2002 graduate of Spencer High School and a 2006 graduate of the University of Iowa, where he played football for the Hawkeyes. Nate later received a degree from Worsham College of Mortuary Science in Wheeling, IL. 


Nate is the son of Joel and LuAnn Roos and has spent his entire life around funeral service. He is a member of the Rotary Club in Spencer.

Terina Irby

Terina grew up in Emmetsburg and raised her family in Sutherland for twenty years. For the last five years, she has resided in Spencer.  She attended NWICC, where she received an associate degree in medical science in 2009. Terina has over thirty years of experience in various roles in the medical field, including ten years in mental health. Her passion is to care for others and help those who are going through a difficult time. She enjoys her job at Warner Funeral Home and shared that the funeral home team is “truly family.”


Terina and her family attend Grace Church in Eden Prairie, MN. Terina also enjoys volunteering for Meals on Wheels and grief support groups in the surrounding Northwest Iowa communities. Terina and her husband, Mitchell, enjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren.


Sheli Cheevers

Sheli Cheevers

Aftercare Coordinator, Office Manager

Sheli is from Ruthven and has an office assistant degree from Spencer School of Business. She spent 20 years as a receptionist in the medical field. Sheli also enjoyed her time volunteering at the local animal shelter.


Outside of work, Sheli helps with the children’s ministry at Foundation Church in Spencer. She and her husband, Kurt, enjoy spending time with their two children, Xander and Audra, as well as with their two dogs.

Joel Roos

Retired Licensed Funeral Director

Joel has been a licensed funeral director since 1984 and a partner in Warner Funeral Home since 1992. He received his B.A. degree from Buena Vista College in Storm Lake in 1982 and a degree in mortuary science from Dallas School of Funeral Service in 1983.


Joel is a member of Hope Reformed Church in Spencer and of the Masonic Lodge. He is a past member of the Spencer Jaycees, the Iowa Great Lakes Chapter of the American Red Cross, and the Spencer Tailtwister High School Booster Club, where he served on the board.


Joel and his wife, LuAnn, have three children: Nate; Maggie and her husband, Kaleb Smith; and Ben.

Aliza Huntoon

Funeral Assistant

Aliza is from Dickens, IA, and is a 2022 graduate of Spencer High School. She has received an associate degree from Iowa Lakes Community College. Aliza is currently enrolled in the Mortuary Science Program through Des Moines Area Community College and is working towards becoming a licensed funeral director in the state of Iowa.  


Outside of school, Aliza enjoys art in all forms and even owns her own tattoo business in Spencer. She also enjoys spending time with her family, including her two cats.  

Kevin Tlam

Kevin Tlam

Support Staff

Kevin has lived in Spencer for over thirty years and started working part-time for Warner Funeral Home in 2025. He is also the Operations Manager for the Spencer Media Group.  


Active in the community, Kevin serves on the Clay County Fair board of directors, is a member of Kiwanis After 5, and is Chair of the Flagfest Parade committee. He is also an active member of Grace United Methodist Church.  

Gary Klett

Gary Klett has been a part of the Warner family for many years. He began his career singing at funeral services. He enjoyed visiting with people so much at the services, he was offered a job. Since then, he has assisted with services and helped out wherever his many talents are needed. Gary and his wife, Marcia, reside on a farm north of Everly. Besides his love for family and farming, he considers this opportunity his second family.

Larry Rozeboom

Larry Rozeboom grew up in Rock Valley, Iowa. He attended Northwest Iowa Community College and graduated with a degree in accounting. He was a member and past President of the Spencer Jaycees. Larry was also a past co-chair of Spencer Flagfest. He enjoys cooking and playing the organ for his church. Larry and his wife, Tammy, live in Spencer.

Lori Walton currently lives in Everly. She grew up in the area and graduated from the Everly school. Lori has four children and nine grandchildren. Family means everything to her, and she enjoys spending time with them. Lori is a member of the Everly United Church and the Everly Lions Club.

Tammy Rozeboom

Tammy Rozeboom grew up in Paullina, Iowa, where she graduated from Paullina High School. After graduation, she attended Spencer School of Business and received a degree as a Medical Secretary. She previously worked for a chiropractor and, after being employed for 39 years, recently retired from Iowa Lakes Community College. Currently, Tammy holds multiple part-time jobs and has worked for Warner Funeral Home since 1996. 


Tammy and her husband, Larry, have made Spencer their home since 1983. She is an active member of First English Lutheran Church in Spencer. In her free time, she enjoys spending cherished time with family and friends.
