Wanda Emma Keen

Wanda Emma Keen, the daughter of Earl and Belle (Hindt) Whitmore, was  born July 10, 1932 in Sheldon, Iowa.  Her childhood years were spent in the Sheldon area, where she graduated from high school in 1950.  She attended Sheldon Junior College for one year, receiving a 2^nd semester scholarship in accounting.  She worked in Sheldon until moving to Spencer in 1960.  In Spencer, she worked for Thomas Thomas, Inc., was Clay County Deputy Auditor, worked at Witt Sales, Inc and Nelson Hearing Aid Service until her retirement.

     Wanda married Duane Arnold Keen on August 8, 1965 in Spencer.  They continued to make their home in Spencer.  She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church.

     She passed away at Longhouse Residence in Spencer, Iowa on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at the age of 88.  Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Duane in 1993; three sisters: Lois, Evelyn and Earleen Whitmore; one brother, Wayne Whitmore; other relatives and friends.
