Victoria "Vicky" Jean Weisbrod

Victoria Jean Weisbrod, the daughter of Roy Burger and Genevieve Dyer, was born August 3, 1949 in Emmetsburg, Iowa.  She was raised in Gillett Grove and Ayrshire areas and attended South Clay Community School.

     On January 23, 1971, Vicky married Dennis Wayne Weisbrod in Jackson, MN.  Following their marriage, they made their home in Dickens, IA where they enjoyed over 50 years of marriage together.  She worked at Eaton Corporation until retiring at the age of 62.  In her spare time, Vicky was an avid reader, she enjoyed going to the casino, camping and traveling to her favorite spot – Myrtle Beach.  Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and attending her grandchildren’s activities.

     Vicky passed away on August 31, 2021 at her home in Dickens at the age of 72.  She is preceded in death by her father, Roy Burger; brother, Brian Burger and grandson, Matthew Eaton.

     Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Dennis of Dickens, IA; her children: Craig (Penny) Peters of Webb, IA, Peggy Sue Garber of Northrop, MN, Heather (Tim) Nissen of Spencer, IA and Zach (Lisa) Weisbrod of Boone, IA; 10 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; her mother, Genevieve Burger of Gillett Grove, IA; two sisters: Judy Bevers of Sutherland, IA and Gloria (Butch) Ball of Sioux Rapids, IA; 3 brothers: Harley Burger of Gillett Grove, IA, Carl (Judy) Burger of Laurens, IA and Gary Burger of Gillett Grove, IA; other relatives and friends.
