Victor Castillo Rivera

Victor C. Rivera, Peterson, IA., passed away at his home on February 11, 2022. Victor was born in CA May 17, 1946, and served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He served onboard the USS Oriskany (CVA-34) out of San Francisco, CA as an Airman. His awards were the Navy Good Conduct Medal, Navy Unit Commendation Medal, the National Defense Medal and the Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the Vietnam Service Medal.

He was united in marriage to Dorothy (Corrigan) in June of 1994. He enjoyed fishing and hosting his annual community fish fries. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Dorothy of Peterson, IA, daughters Mary (John-Michael) Elms of Tampa, FL; Brenda (Luis) Anda of Springtown, TX; and Tammy (Bob) Brown of Peterson, IA; 5 grandchildren,  8 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. He was loved by many and will be missed. Victors’ final days in life were celebrated when he surrendered his life to Jesus.
