Thomas Ivan Cushing

     Thomas Ivan Cushing, the son of Ivan and Annetta (Larson) Cushing was born September 19, 1953, in Emmetsburg, Iowa. His childhood years were spent in the Emmetsburg area where he attended school until 3rd grade. They moved to Spencer, Iowa, and attended Spencer School and graduated from Spencer High School in 1972.

     Thomas moved to Langdon in the mid 1980’s. He worked for Hy-Line International, ABC Computer and Spencer Auto Parts until his retirement in 2017. He married Linda Anderson on April 29, 1991. He enjoyed woodworking, computer repair, camping, dirt biking and golfing. He especially enjoyed 4th of July parties and spending time with his grandchildren, neighbors and friends.

     Thomas passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2022, at Longhouse Residence in Spencer, Iowa at the age of 69. He was preceded in death by parents and siblings: Dixie Adams, Joann Cushing and Bob Hines.

     Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Linda of Langdon; 4 step-children: Mark Verner and his wife, Katie of Tea, SD, Karla Verner of Sioux Falls, SD, Carman Ward and her husband, Aaron of Sioux Falls, SD and Michele Latham and her husband, Michael of Sioux Falls, SD; 9 step-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.

     Memorial cards may be sent to 2506 298th St., Spencer, IA 51301.

SERVICES
Memorial services will take place 11:00 A.M., Friday, October 7, at Fairview Cemetery in Langdon.
