Sharon Francis Mengelsen

     Sharon Francis Mengelsen, the daughter of Francis Lloyd and Kathryn (Kimfung) Van Kuren, was born September 9, 1944, in Honolulu, HI. 

   Sharon married James Thomas Mengelsen Sr. on September 14, 1973, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and settled in Spencer, Iowa.

     She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: John Albios and Patrick Van Kuren; one sister, Thelma Albeso; other surviving siblings: Francis Van Kuren, Kimo (James) Van  Kuren, Bo (James) Van Kuren, Janine (Ninko) Albois and Deborah Van Kuren.

     She is survived by her five children: Janelle Theresa (Van Kuren) Nissen of Spencer, IA ,Jimaline Ann (Van Kuren) of  Armstrong, Las Vegas, NM, John Edward Staup of Hawaii, Big Island, Tiffany Marie (Ostrander) Jones of Spencer, IA, James Thomas Mengelsen Jr. of Spencer, IA; her husband, James Thomas Mengelsen, Sr. and many grandchildren and great grandchildren too numerous to list.

     Sharon was loved by many and never forgot her friends and family.  She will be sorely missed.

   Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
