Sharon Lee Sassman

     Sharon Lee Sassman, the daughter of Carl and Rosalie (Huemoeller) Plautz was born July 18, 1940 in Jackson, MN. She spent her childhood in the Lake Center area with 2 younger siblings, a brother Ben and a sister Alice.

     Sharon married Wayne Sassman in April of 1968 in Spencer, IA. She worked for M&C Anderson for 20 years before moving to Spencer in 1996, where she drove for RSVP Cab. For the last 20 years, she enjoyed helping elderly people get to where they had to go and get the things they needed, She also enjoyed working in her garden, spending time with her grandchildren, and playing cards.

     Sharon passed away on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Spencer Hospital at the age of 81. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Jeff, a daughter and son-in-law, Kris and Bill Decker, a daughter-in-law, Amanda Olds, and her cat, Max    

     Sharon is survived by her son Jason; her daughter Kim; her sister Alice; her brother Ben; her grandchildren, Jason, Theresa and Eric.  Sharon was loved by many, and she will be missed by many more.
