Robert Sever Knudson

     Robert was born Aug. 18, 1936, in Des Moines, IA, and grew up on a farm in Rossie, IA.  He graduated from Greenville Rossie High School in 1955.  He served in the U.S. Navy. 

     Robert did a lot of travelling throughout his life, from a trip to Italy in his childhood, to travelling throughout the United States in adulthood.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and motorcycling.

     Robert passed away on Thursday, Oct. 14, 2021, at Aspire Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Estherville, IA, at the age of 85. 

     Robert is survived by his children, Steven Knudson of Kansas City, MO; Kelly McGuire, Rodney (Cathy) Knudson, and Bobby Knudson all of Camdenton, MO; Chris (Leisa) Knudson of Cedar Rapids, IA; Ondrea (Jake) Elmquist of Boone, IA; Merissa Knudson of Hurricane, UT; and Bryan (Manji) Knudson of St. George, UT; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his sister, Linda Hanon of Des Moines, IA.

     He was proceeded in death by his children, Phyllis Britton, Janet Burnett, and Kevin Jordan; his parents, Sever and Berniece Knudson, Edward O’Donnell, and Bonnie Hanon-Olson; siblings, Florence, Edward, Dorothy, Kenneth, Danny, Betty, JoAnn, and Regina.

     The family would like to thank Aspire Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for the many years of care they provided, as well as Kindred Hospice for the care and support they provided in Robert’s final weeks.
