Robert (Bob) Ross Rinehart, the son of Frank Oscar and Henrietta (Peterson) Rinehart, was born September 1, 1927 in Highmore, SD. Then moved at the age of 8 to the Aberdeen, SD area. During that move he and his older brother, Harold drove the family cow herd from Highmore to the Aberdeen area. Bob was 15 when they moved to a farm south of Everly, where he farmed alongside his dad and brothers. He graduated from Everly Community High School in 1946. He was drafted in 1951 into the army during the Korean Conflict, where he went through airborne training at Fort Benning, Georgia. He was then stationed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. He was discharged in January 1953. He came back to the Everly area and met his wife, Mary Belle Schomaker.
They were married January 16th, 1955. They raised four children: Ross, Scott, Chet and Libby in various locations including: Oklahoma, Kansas, Minnesota and Iowa and called it home. He was a founding member of the North American Limousin Foundation. Bob was preceded in death by his wife, MaryBelle, both parents; his siblings: John Rinehart, Harold Rinehart, Betty Williams, Norma Beals and Lois Noethe and a daughter-in-law, Shirley Rinehart. Bob is survived by three sons: Ross (Beverly) of Everly, Iowa; Scott (Karla) of Rossie, Iowa; and Chet (Ann) of Soda Springs, ID; one daughter, Libby (Bryan) Hight of Crestview, FL; 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and 4 siblings, Marge and (Bill) Daniels, Texaas, Edith Williamson, Texas, Lowell (Frankie), Highmore, SD, Mary Calvert, Fort Smith, AR; and other relatives and friends.
