Rita Kae Kladstrup

     Rita Kae Kladstrup, the daughter of Fred and Mabel (Tuttle) Emerson was born on January 15, 1942 in Spirit Lake, IA. Her childhood years were spent in the Spirit Lake area, where she attended school.

     Rita married Dennis Kladstrup and to this union had 4 children. They later divorced. She moved to Spencer, IA, where she worked as a homemaker and for A&M Laundry for many years until her retirement. Rita moved into Northshire Residence in March of 2020 for health reasons.

     Rita enjoyed watching game shows, listening to Sunday church services on the radio, visiting with family and friends, and especially spending time with family at family gatherings.

     Rita passed away on Monday, September 14, 2020 at Northshire Residence at the age of 78. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 children, Fred and Dawn; 3 sisters, Frances, Delores, and Joy; and 3 brothers, Howard, Delmar, and Dale.

     Left to cherish her memory are her 2 children, Steve (Linda) Kladstrup of Spencer, IA, and Shelly (Curt) Johnson of Spencer, IA; 9 grandchildren, Tony (Sarah), Bryan, Christian (Kasey), Katie (Daniel), Alex (Mackenzie), Austin (Shyanne), Adam (Alyssa), Eric, and Rhiannon; 5 great-grandchildren, Addy, Brynlee, Anson, Millie, and Milo; one niece, Diane (Dan) Pohlmeier, one nephew, Darrell (Brenda) Martin; and many friends.
