Randyl “Randy” Robert Krile, was born to Robert and Sharon (Hynes) Krile, on August 6, 1960, in Spencer, IA. He attended and graduated from Spencer High School in 1979. He excelled in sports: Football, Track, and Wrestling, having earned a trip to the State Wrestling Tournament his senior year. Randy accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior while attending First Baptist Church in Spencer.
After graduation, he married Jane Hoxeng, and they had two sons, Joseph & Zachary. He attended and graduated from NWICC in Sheldon with a degree in Heavy Mechanics, which led him to Iowa City to work for Iowa River Products. From there, they moved to Colorado. Randy later returned to Spencer, where he was an exceptional salesman and was in the manufacturing industry. He married Shelley Reedy, and together they maintained an office furniture business as well as a personalized limestone rock business. They also enjoyed many trips to Mexico.
Randy remained devoted to his sons in Colorado and made several trips to spend time with them and their families.
Randy shared another chapter of his life with his partner, Mindy Clark. They moved to Lake Thunderhead in Unionville, MO, in 2020. Together they built a home they lovingly called Sanctuary. Surrounded by the wildlife Randy cherished, they created a life filled with tranquility until his cancer diagnosis.
Randy also shared a very special bond with his sister Brenda and niece Makenna. Tuesdays were a standing lunch date at Monterrey’s, between brother and sister.
Randy had many lifelong friends that were forged in his Spencer childhood. These friends remained steadfast, supporting him through his illness with unwavering love. Special recognition goes to Scott Anderson, who was more like a brother, than just a friend. Randy also found joy in his “boys” Gabriel & Gunner.
Randy spent the last six weeks of his life surrounded by love from his family, at his mother’s home in Spencer, with the help of weekly visits and help from Hospice.
He is preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Harold and Grace Hynes; paternal grandparents, Walter and Thelma Krile; father, Bob Krile and an infant sister, Sandra.
Randy passed away peacefully, Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at the Spencer Hospital, with his Mom by his side. He is survived by longtime partner, Mindy Clark of Unionville, MO; his sons: Joe (Shannon) Krile and their daughter, Rori of Ft Collins, CO; his son, Zach of Ft Collins, CO and his son, Ivan of Casper, WY; mother, Sharon Krile of Spencer; sister, Brenda Sassman of Spencer; nephew, Ben (Ann) Sassman, their daughters: Harper & Emma of Webb; niece Jordan Sassman (Devius Collins) and their children: Makenna, Addy, Jr, Kaylee, & Jakobe of Spencer; aunt, Carol McQueen; many family and friends both near and far.
