Patricia Jean Christenson

     On November 12, 1961 Patricia was born to Ray and Ruth Walsh in Storm Lake, IA. Welcoming her at home was a sister Annette and 2 brothers Mike and Mark. Patty, later on became a big sister to Joan and Gary.

     Patty grew up in Varina, IA where she attended St. Columbkille grade school. When she was in 8^th grade she went to OLGC School in Fonda, IA. She graduated in 1980 from Fonda High School.

     Patty then moved to Spencer, IA where she worked at Sernett’s Department Store and Taco Johns.

     On September 20, 1986 Patty married Aaron Christenson and resided in Hartley, IA. They raised 3 daughters, Heather, Jamie, and Emily.

     After moving back to Spencer, Patty was employed at Kmart for 10 years, and also bartended for 12 years. She then quit bartending and started work at A&M Laundry for 14 years.

     In April 2020, she found out she was in the 3^rd stage of Ovarian cancer and quit working.

     Patty enjoyed horseback riding, working on 1000 piece jigsaw puzzles, making dream catchers, and most of all hanging out with her grandchildren and her friends.

     On August 15, 2022, Patty lost her fight with cancer. She was preceded in death by her father, Michael Raymond Walsh.

     Left to cherish her memory are 3 daughters, Heather Jones, Jamie Christenson, and Emily (D’Marco) Christenson; 13 grandchildren; her mother, Ruth Walsh of Varina, IA; 5 siblings, Annette (Gary) Devereaux, Mike (Vicky) Walsh, Mark (Deb) Walsh, Joan (Jay) Walsh and Gary (Camie) Walsh; many nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews; And last, but by far from the very least, her best friend, Adair Simmons.
