Murrell Lee Waldron

     Murrell Lee Waldron, the son of Paul and Hazel (Davey) Waldron was born July 28, 1936 in Shenandoah, IA. His childhood years were spent in the Missouri Valley, IA area, where he attended school and graduated from Missouri Valley High School in 1954. 
     Murrell lived and worked several places, including at a coffee factory in Omaha, NE, farming west of Milford, IA, a battery factory in Council Bluffs, farming near Moneta, IA, Carol’s family farm, John Deere in Spencer, IA, Construction in Storm Lake, IA, Ralph Manning Chicken Farms, Spencer Schools, Massey Ferguson Implement, driving semis with Carol for 20 years until his retirement in 2011. He then worked for Clubs Choice and John Ferguson Trucking until his retirement again.
     Murrell married Carol Meyer on March 30, 1957 at First Reformed Church in Rural Everly, IA. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, making turn pens, and woodworking. He was a member of First Reformed Church and Moose Lodge # 496.
     Murrell passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at Spencer Hospital at the age of 86. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, Paul, Donald, and Daryl, and 2 infant siblings.
     Left to cherish his memory are his wife Carol of Spencer, IA, 4 children, Murrell (Brenda) Waldron of Kearney, NE, Shelly (Nancy) Waldron of Knoxville, TN, Warren (Mia) Waldron of Yorkton, VA, and Leonard Waldron of Clarksville, TN; 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Gerald (Beatrice) Waldron of Coin, IA and Jerold Waldron of Shenandoah, IA; one sister, Beverly Nelson of Harris, IA; other relatives; and many friends.
SERVICES
Funeral services will take place 1:00 P.M., Saturday, March 4 at the Warner Chapel in Spencer.
