Michael James Brander

Michael James Brander was born in Storm Lake, Iowa, on September 15, 1952, and passed away on Friday, May 24, 2019.   After high school, he lived in Denver, Colorado.  He was a U.S. Postal Service employee until the onset of cancer. 

Michael often travelled to Mexico and Hawaii.  He was naturally curious, and enjoyed the relationships he established on his trips.  Helping those less fortunate came easily to Michael, and many people benefited from his generosity.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Brander.  He is survived by his mother, Esther Dusing Brander of Spencer, Iowa; four sisters: Barbara Jorgensen (Dan) of Spencer, Iowa, Toni Hood of Humboldt, Iowa, Patty Lee (Joe) of Iowa City, Iowa, and Joni Brander of Chicago, Illinois; and 11 nieces and nephews.
