Lynne Karla Niemeyer

     Lynne Karla Niemeyer, the daughter of Lyle and Gertrude (Uhr) Godfredsen, was born on December 19, 1946, in Spirit Lake, Iowa. She was raised and received her early education in Spirit Lake before moving to Spencer at the age of 17.

     She married James Newcomb and to this union two children were born: Rick and Randy. They later divorced. She married Bernard Niemeyer on November 24, 1978 in Sioux Falls, SD. Lynne enjoyed being a homemaker and raising her family. She worked various jobs throughout the years at Christopher & Banks, JoAnn Fabrics and Days Inn. She was a lifetime member of Women of the Moose. She also enjoyed sewing but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

     Lynne passed away at Accura Health Care in Spirit Lake, IA at the age of 76. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, in 2005 and her son, Randy.

     Left to cherish her memory are her son, Rick (Robin) of Spencer, IA; 5 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 5 brothers: Larry Godfredsen of Sandy, OR, Roger Godfredsen (Vickie), Duane Godfredsen (Dawn “Charlie”), Dennis Godfredsen and Kevin Godfredsen all of Spirit Lake, IA; her sisters: Wanda Karlin (Harvey) of Lake Havasu, AZ and Dawn Godfredsen of Spirit Lake, IA; other relatives and friends.

Memorial Services will be held at a later date, "by invitation only, and there are no invitations"
