Lucinda Lee DeBill of Spencer Iowa, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2026. She was born on October 8, 1957 to Krissa and Frank Abalos in Pasadena CA. After attending Arroyo High School, she married Jerry DeBill in 1977. During their marriage, they had 4 wonderful children. Her relationship with Jesus was the foundation of her life, and was evident in the way she cared for those around her. Throughout her life, she worked at a variety of different jobs. The most rewarding to her was her time as a CNA. She had a servant’s heart and found purpose in caring for others, and often spoke about how much that work meant to her. Cindy enjoyed gardening, was known for her green thumb, and loved tending to her indoor plants and growing veggies of her own. She loved all crafts, and her talents ranged from sewing to wreath-making. Cindy expressed her love through cooking, and her family especially loved her potato tacos, tamales, burritos, and cottage cheese salad. She loved spending time outdoors, reading books, watching birds, or simply sunbathing. She had a special love for animals and cared deeply for her pets. One of her favorite pastimes was watching game shows. Cindy loved her grandkids more than anything in the world. No matter where they were, she made it a point to let them know how much they were loved. She leaves behind a family who carries her love with them each day. Cindy is survived by her children, Richard (Troy) DeBill of Redfield, Arkansas; Misty (Luc) Arnold of Spencer, Iowa; Frank (Jessica) DeBill of Mankato, Minnesota; and Patricia (William) Saravia of Glendale, California. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Asia (Andrew), TJ (Jersey), CheyLee, William, Marlon, Giovanni, Micah, Kassandra, Calleigh, and Maryann; her great-grandchildren, Tyler, Isaac, Kaiden, and Madi; and her brother, Randy Abalos along with nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Krissa and Frank Abalos; her brother, Daniel Abalos; and her sister, Pamala Meza. The family would like to thank the following services: Spencer ICU Nursing Staff, Avera Heart Hospital of Sioux Falls (Especially the “Imposter Doctor” Collin), Avera McKennan Hospital, and the Avera Lifeflight Team.
