Linda Catherine Conlon, the daughter of Robert and Virginia Conlon was born January 1, 1948, in Clarion, Iowa. For a short period of time the family moved to Garden Grove, California. They decided Iowa was home and moved to Spencer. She spent the majority of her childhood in Spencer, graduating from Spencer High School.
One of Linda’s favorite things was the Clay County Fair; she enjoyed the different booths and buildings. She really enjoyed the food. She even worked for Stubs for several years at the fair.
Linda was also very proud to represent the V.F.W. and the American Legion. She and her mother, Virginia served on many different committees and were always willing to volunteer their services.
She always had a smile for her neighbors and friends. She was a great historian of the family for both her mother’s and father’s side. She couldn’t remember where the remote was, but she could rattle off everyone's birthday who was related to her. She will be greatly missed.
Linda passed away in her home on Monday, July 27, 2026. She was preceded in death by her parents: Bob and Virginia; sister Caroline and many other family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are to be directed to Sacred Heart Catholic School in Spencer.
