Les Alan Alsman, the son of Cecil and Bernice (Mayfield) Alsman was born February 21, 1955 in Sullivan, IN, peacefully passed away on March 11, 2024. He was one of five children raised in a farming family, where he cultivated a deep appreciation for agriculture. Les never met a stranger; his warm personality touched the lives of many. He cherished his career in farming and agriculture, finding joy in every aspect of the work.

Outside of his profession, Les enjoyed riding e-bikes with his beloved wife RC, traveling, and tinkering with his old Volkswagen truck. He always enjoyed vacationing to the Gulf Shores in Alabama, visiting historical sites, his dogs, doing puzzles with his daughter, visiting his grandchildren, and especially spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, father and mother-in-law, Carl and Norma Hancock, brother-in-law Jerry Tidwell and brother-in-law Cliff Hancock. He leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter, survived by his devoted wife RC of Spencer, IA; 2 children, Jamie Alsman of Spencer, IA and Jeremy (Kyla) Alsman of Lenexa, KS; 2 grandchildren, Austin and Brecken; 2 brothers, Larry (Margaret) Alsman of Terre Haute, IN and Lonnie (Barbara) Alsman of Highland, IL; 2 sisters, Lana Tidwell of Scottsboro, AL and Tracy (Matt) Chickadaunce of Sullivan, IN; nieces; nephews; other relatives; and many friends.

Les was a true “good old boy”, embodying values of kindness, generosity, and compassion. He will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his soul rest in peace.
