Kenneth Paul Drzycimski

Kenneth Paul Drzycimski, the son of John Edward and Ona Grace Theeler Drzycimski, was born October 1, 1924 at his parents home in Clay County. His childhood years were spent in Linn Grove, where he received his education, graduating from Linn Grove High School. Kenneth married Wanda Alice Taylor on February 28, 1948 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. Following their marriage, they made their home on a farm around 11 miles north of Alta. He was a lifetime farmer, who was recognized for Soil Conservation by receiving an award. He was a member of Riverside Presbyterian Church in Linn Grove, IA, where he served as a trustee. He was also a board member for ASC, was Brook Township Clerk and served as a director for the BV County Pork Producers. He also enjoyed his social life, by singing with the BV County Barber Shop Quartet, bowling on mixed and men's leagues and playing cards. Kenneth passed away at the Sioux Care Center in Sioux Rapids, Iowa on Wednesday, January 11, 2006 at the age of 81. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Ona Drzycimski and his wife, Wanda Drzycimski. He is survived by one son, Greg Drzycimski and his wife, Merri of Alta, IA; two daughters: Linda Genson of Sioux Rapids and her friend, Duane Hill of Storm Lake, IA and Diane Straub and her husband, Tim of Peterson, IA; three grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one brother, Jerry Drzycimski of Storm Lake, IA; one sister, Eileen Shellum of New Ulm, MN; a special friend, Bonnie Grodahl of Rembrandt, IA; other relatives and many friends.
