Kelli Sue Vaul

  Kelli Vaul, the daughter of Richard and Janice (Buchanan) Cooper, passed away suddenly Sunday January 16, 2022, at Spencer Hospital.

     Kelli was born April 12, 1970, the youngest of five children, she spent her childhood in Sioux City where she graduated from East High in 1988. She worked many jobs before settling on a job at Wheelchair Transportation, where she met her future husband. She married Richard Vaul on February 14, 1998. She left Wheelchair to work at Dollar General where she worked for several years.  She transferred to the Spencer store in 2000 where she worked until an injury left her disabled. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, watching television, and playing games.

     She was preceded in death by her mother; sister, Deborah; and 2 brothers-in-law, Kevin McDonald and William "Bud" Vaul.

     Left to cherish her memories are husband, Richard of Spencer, IA; 2 children: Zach Vaul of Spencer, IA, Beth (Justin) Brown of Spencer, IA; 3 grandchildren: Sydney, Savannah, and Stanley; father Richard (Marcella) Cooper of Sioux City, IA; 3 brothers: Robert (Dawn) Cooper of Sioux City, IA, Rick (Michele) Cooper of Marion, IA, Dave Cooper of Vermillion, SD; many nieces and nephews and other relatives.
