June Ann Johannsen

     June Ann (Yeager) Johannsen, the daughter of Lee and Anna (Newby) Leighter, was born July 5, 1928 in Dickens, Iowa. Her childhood years were spent in the Spencer area, where he received her education.

     June married Michael Yeager and to this union was born 3 children: Michael, Timothy, Patrick.

     During her life, she owned and operated the Superior Café where she was well known for her tasty meals. She later managed the Schleswig Country Club for 10 years. June also was manager of the Elks Club in Estherville for three years and worked at Barkeline Company for 8 years until her retirement.

     June passed away at St. Luke Lutheran Home in Spencer, Iowa on Wednesday, April 22, 2020 at the age of 91. She was preceded in death by her parents; two children: Patrick Yeager and a foster child, Mary Weddking and five brothers: Herbert, Kenny, Neil, Marion and Alvin; one sister, Elizabeth and a grandson, Brian Yeager.

     She is survived by two sons: Michael Yeager and Timothy (Missy) Yeager all of Spencer; a daughter-in-law, Jackie Yeager; 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

SERVICES
Graveside Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Monday, July 5, 2021 at Fairview Cemetery in Terril, Iowa with a gathering following at the home of Jess Yeager - 321 E. 18th Street in Spencer.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established by the family.
