Julie Kay Arcand

     Julie Kay Arcand was born September 5th, 1959 in Algona, Iowa to Marlin McCullah and Themla McCullah (Jensen). 

     Julie grew up around Spencer and had great memories with her siblings and cousins at their grandparents’ farm.

     Julie become a mother to Shannon and John and later met and married Francis Arcand and had two daughters with him Cheyenne and Sarah. Julie loved the Minnesota Vikings and when her family has memories or her cheering on "her boys: as they won. She also loved her country music and loved going to many concerts and meeting many country singers. If Julie wasn't with her grandchildren, children, or husband she loved playing bingo even if it was on the phone. Julie loved going on rides in the evening and looking at the deer in the fields. Julie also loved fishing and could sit all day trying to catch fish. She also loved her scratch offs especially the crossword ones. Julie worked at the Spencer Hospital as a CNA for over 20 years where she met many lifelong friends whom she adorned. She retired in 2019 and was able to spend lots of time with her kids and grandkids. Julie is known for her kind heart and always having a smile on her face. 

     Survived by her husband Francis Arcand. Children Shannon and Daniel Aveina. John and Lucy McCullah. Cheyenne and Dawson Sorenson. Sarah (Phillip Manz) Arcand. And siblings Laurie and Steve Patrick and Mark and Patty McCullah. 

Grandkids Selena, Raquel, Luis (Daisy), Jayla, Maliyah, Uriyah, Aubree, Savannah and Addison. Josiah, Oaklynn, and Tatum. Great grandkids Aiden, Tony who passed away, Aliyah, Antonio and Camilla, Angel, Bella, and Joel. 

     Julie passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2024 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD, at the age of 64. She was preceded in death by her parents Themla McCullah and Marlin McCullah, her brother Wesley McCullah, Great Grandson Anthony Luna and many other relatives.
