John Louis Wittfoth

October 10, 1952 — June 19, 2019

Spencer

John Louis Wittfoth, the son of Louis and Violet (Behrends) Wittfoth, was born on October 10, 1952, in Pipestone, Minnesota. He was raised in Beaver Bay and received his early education in nearby Silver Bay, graduating from Silver Bay High School in 1972. He moved to Spencer in 1973.

John worked at Witco for 24 years. After Witco closed, he held various jobs in the Spencer area. He then took a job at Longhouse Residence where he worked for seven years. He enjoyed doing puzzles, wordbooks, painting pictures and liked to fish.

He passed away on June 19, 2019, at the Avera Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, at the age of 66. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Left to cherish his memory are his sister, Jolene Hollander of Spencer, IA; two nephews, Jason Hollander and Steve Hollander, both of Spencer.

SERVICES

Services will be held 2:00 P.M., Monday, June 24, the Warner Chapel in Spencer, Iowa.

VISITATION

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Warner Funeral Home, Spencer, Iowa.
