Jeannie Marlene Stone, the daughter of Charles and Dorothy (Strohman) Myers, was born on September 19, 1948, in Emmetsburg, Iowa, where she was raised and received her early education.
After high school, she worked as a waitress at Rexall Drug, the North Y and Country Kitchen in Spencer. In 1983, she started working in the medical field as a CNA at St. Luke Lutheran Home in Spencer.
