Jack Phillips

Windel 'Jack' Phillips, the son of Lewis and Marie (Thueson) Phillips was born October 28, 1934, in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  His childhood years were spent in the Greenville and Rossie areas where he received his education and graduated in 1952.  Following graduation, he continued his education at Dana College for two years.  Jack lived in the Rossie area most of his life except for the four years he was in the United States Air Force and stationed in Sacramento, California.

    On June 16, 1957, Jack was united in marriage to Judy Mills in Sioux Rapids, Iowa.  He farmed for many years and was employed 11 years at Eaton Corporation.  Jack enjoyed sports, and especially playing basketball with the "Over Fifty Gang."  He was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Royal, Iowa, and sang in the choir.

    Jack passed away at Northshire Residence on Thursday, May 30, 2019, at the age of 84.  He was preceded in death by Marie and Lewis Phillips, Donald Lewis Phillips and John and Opal Wheeler.

    Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Judy of Linn Grove, IA; one son, Ryan Phillips and wife, Laurie of Linn Grove, IA; two daughters:  Deb Tewes and husband, Mark of Spencer, IA, and Melanie Poss and husband, Roger of Merrill, IA; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. 

SERVICES
Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 A.M., Monday, June 3, 2019 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Royal, Iowa.
