Hilda Marie Schomaker

Hilda Marie Schomaker, the daughter of John and Lorene (Peterson) Schomaker, was born November 30, 1947 in Spencer, Iowa.  Her childhood was spent in the Gillett Grove and Greenville, IA area and she received her education in South Clay schools.

     Hilda moved to Spencer in 1993 and has lived there since that time and worked as a caregiver to many others.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Spencer, where she taught Sunday School, was an AWANA leader and belonged to the Action Group.  She was also a member of the American Disability Association Council, American Legion and enjoyed sewing.

     She passed away on Friday, December 4, 2020 at the age of 73.  Hilda was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Arlan Schomaker and a sister, Ann Stumbo.

     Left to cherish her memory are a brother-in-law, Barry Stumbo of Kentucky; a sister-in-law, Barb Schomaker of Greenville, IA; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

SERVICES
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, December 11, 2020 at First Baptist Church in Spencer.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials to First Baptist Church in Spencer.
