Georgia Leigh Adams

Georgia Leigh Adams, the daughter of Garth and Donna (Raper) Gross was born August 14, 1953, in Storm Lake, IA. Her childhood years were spent in California where she attended school (she summered in Webb, IA) and graduated from Leuzinger High School in 1971. She received her AA from Orange County Community College. Georgia also lived in Wisconsin, Georgia and Washington.

Georgia worked as a transcriptionist for Maricopa Integrated Health Services. She moved to Spencer, IA in 1971. Georgia married Albert “Bert” Adams in Lofland, NV on September 12, 2003. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing, reading, traveling, going for walks and especially spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed her “critters” (dog and cat).

Georgia passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026, at the Spencer Hospital at the age of 72. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bert; one brother, Monte Gross and a step-son, Jason Adams.

Left to cherish her memory are her 2 children: Nena Crafton of Spencer, IA, and Erik Aaron of Torrance, CA; 2 grandchildren, Daniel (Leslie) Castillo and Chad Aaron; 2 step-children, Jill (Jeff) Ogburn of Parker, CO and Todd (Brenda) Adams of rock Island, IL 7 step-grandchildren: one great-grandchild, Leo Davis; one brother, Mark Gross of Santa Barbara, CA; other relatives and many friends
