Frank C. Parks

Frank C. Parks, the son of Guy and Mildred Flipsey Parks was born September 10, 1932 in Spencer, Iowa.  Frank received his early education at the Rossie School.

     Frank married Bernice Marsh on December 27, 1949 in Spencer, Iowa.  They have celebrated 69½ years of marriage.  Following their marriage, Frank farmed west of Langdon until retiring in 2003.  Frank and Bernice then moved to Spencer.  Frank was a member of Langdon Methodist Church, Pork Producers, Clay County Snow Broncs, FFA and served on the Dickens Elevator Board for two terms.

    Frank passed away on Monday, July 8, 2019 at the Spencer Hospital at the age of 86.  He is preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers: LeRoy “Bud” and Harold Parks; 5 sisters: Charlene Walton, Wava Dailey, Margaret Kolbold, Lucille Ollinger and Loretta Weise.

     He is survived by his wife, Bernice of Spencer, IA; one son and his wife, Dean (Diane) Parks of Spencer, IA; two daughters and their husbands: Diane (Butch) Griffel of Des Moines, IA and Denise (Jon) Troe of Albertville, MN; 6 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
