Earl L Birchard

Earl Leslie Birchard, 87, passed away Saturday, August 8th at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls.

Earl was the son of Benton and Alice (Backstrom) Birchard. He was born October 16th, 1938 in Gillett Grove, Iowa. He was raised in Gillett Grove. Earl went into the Army in 1957 and was honorable discharged in 1959. He worked at the Spencer Pack for four years then moved to California. On September 15th, 1967, Earl married Wanda Regennitter, Heikens.

Earl retired from the county of Orange in Santa Ana California in 1990 and after traveling, they returned to Spencer in 1997, residing at 1617 Grand Avenue.

Earl is proceeded in death by his parents; sisters Alice, Wanda, Marlene and Blanche; brothers Elmer, Harold, Ciecle, and Roger.
