Dorothy Lois Breidinger

Dorothy (Connell) Breidinger, the daughter of Lewis and Florence (Beardsley) Connell, was born on April 6, 1927 in Arnolds Park, IA.  She was raised and graduated from Arnolds Park High School in 1945.

    Dorothy married Orville Breidinger on December 16, 1945 in Arnolds Park and to this union was born 3 children.

     Dorothy was a homemaker for many years.  In her last years, she was a cook at St. Luke’s Nursing Home before her retirement.  Orville and Dorothy wintered in Zephyrhills, FL for many years.  After Orville’s passing in 2001, Dorothy moved to Florida full time.  She enjoyed clogging, line dance, and shuffleboard at Betmar Acres in Zephyrhills, FL.  Dorothy also enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She also enjoyed taking her dogs, “Buttons & Punkin” for walks and on golf cart rides.

     She passed away at Arbor Oak Assisted Living in Lakeland, FL on June 6, 2020 at the age of 93.  Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Orville Breidinger; a daughter, Linda O’Hara and a granddaughter, Brenda Maly.

     Left to cherish her memory are her children: Judy (Guy) Markley, Ed (Sandra) Breidinger and a son-in-law, Owen O’Hara; her grandchildren: Tammy Lapenna, Robyn Markley, Bryan (Becky) Markley, Shane (Mary Beth) Breidinger, Chad (Talia) Breidinger, Keri (Jeremy) Voit; 10 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Private family graveside services will be held Monday, July 6, 2020
