Diane Kay Zadow

     Diane Kay Zadow, the daughter of Leonard and Gladys (Brekke) Martz, was born September 11, 1940 in Sioux Rapids, Iowa.  Her childhood years were spent in Sioux Rapids, where she received her education, at Sioux Rapids Consolidated Schools.  She later continued her education at Mankato Commercial College.

     She married Luther Zadow in November of 1974. Diane had lived in the communities of Spencer, Ft. Dodge and Sante Fe, NM, where she worked as a secretary and nurses’ aide for many years.  She was a member of the Faith Pentecostal Church in Spencer, where she was active in the Women’s Guild.

     She passed away at the Emmetsburg Care Center in Emmetsburg, Iowa on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at the age of 80.  Diane was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her brother, Leonard Martz, Jr. and a sister, Sandra Putnam

     Diane is survived by her sister, Nancy Martz of Omaha, NE; her nephews: Jeff Long and his wife Jane of Spencer and their children: Josh, Stacie, Kyle and Crystal; Todd Long and his wife, Stacey of Solon, IA and their children: Allie, Levi, Tyler and Mikayla; her niece, Anne Martz-Dalton Cassville, MO and her sons: Trey and Trevor; her niece, Carrie and her husband, Ted Newkirk of Fort Myers, FL and their children: Maria and Brady; other relatives and friends.
