Dennis Wayne Weisbrod

     Dennis Wayne Weisbrod, the son of Victor and LaVonne (Lenhart) Weisbrod was born in Hartley, IA on January 3, 1949. He attended school and graduated from South Clay Community School in 1967. Dennis was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1968 And served in the 173^rd Airbourne until his Honorable Discharge in 1970. He married Victoria Burger on January 23, 1971 in Jackson, MN. They made their home in the Dickens, IA area where they enjoyed over 50 years of marriage together.

     Dennis enjoyed going to the casino, camping, vacationing with grandkids, tinkering in his garage, going to his grandkids’ sporting events, playing cards, and traveling to beaches in the south, especially Myrtle Beach and Gulf Shores.

     Dennis passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Home in Spencer, IA, at the age of 73. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Victoria, and grandchild Matthew Eaton.

     Left to cherish his memory are his 3 children, Peggy Sue Garber of Northrop, MN, Heather (Tim) Nissen of Spencer, IA, and Zach (Lisa) Weisbrod of Boone, IA; 10 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters, Vicki (Randy) of Drexel Missouri and Reva Anderson of Emmetsburg, IA; other relatives; and many friends.
