Deanna Doreen Logan

   Deanna Doreen Logan, the daughter of Howard and Dorothy (Huse) Miller, was born on March 21, 1939 in Sioux City, IA. She was raised and attended school in Moville, graduating from high school in 1957. After high school, she moved to Spencer and attended Larson’s Beauty School.

   On September 6, 1959, she married Robert Logan in Moville, Iowa. Following their marriage the couple lived in Spencer and in 1968 moved to a farm northeast of Greenville. Deanna held several jobs over the years. She was a hairdresser at Larson’s, Kenny’s, and Brooks in Spirit Lake. She also worked for the Rural Water, Extension office, and Johnson’s Plumbing supply. She loved to help on the farm and raise her family. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Royal and a 4-H Leader. She liked to spend her time putting puzzles together, reading, and had a large collection of smiley faces.

   Deanna passed away on Friday, August 8,2025 at the Spencer Hospital surrounded by her family. She was 86. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert; her grandson, Mitchell Logan; and her 3 sisters: Betty Rhue, Nadine Clark, and Marian Steffen.

   Left to cherish her memory are her three children: Lisa Salton (Will) of Dickens, IA, Hal (Kim) Logan of Aurelia, IA and Nick (Tammy) Logan of Greenville, IA; her grandchildren: Adam (Stephanie) Salton, Lesley (Michael) Kestel, Jordan (Hallee) Salton, and Keith (Anna) Logan. Her great grandchildren: Jackson, Micayla, Hunter, and Austin Salton, Melissa, Riley, and Reese Kestel, Gentry Salton, Ellie Jo and Madelyn Logan; other relatives and friends.
