Dawson Lee Walker, the son of Tom and CJ (Acres) Walker was born May 26, 1998 in Estherville, IA. His childhood years were spent in the Spencer, IA area, before attended school and received his diploma from Woodward Academy in Des Moines. He then moved to Texas and California for a short time (where he really took a liking to surfing).
Dawson married Joy Farence on November 28, 2018 in Spencer, IA. To this union, a son, Edward was born. Dawson worked for POET and Old 60, before working for H&N Auto Body. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, writing poetry, working out, reciting AA material, singing, and reading. He was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan and an artist. He also enjoyed playing with his dog Tank who he shared a birthday with.
Dawson passed away on Monday, May 23, 2022 at the age of 23 in Spirit Lake, IA. He was preceded in death by his (known to him) grandma Judy, grandpa Kenneth Walker, grandma Claudia Acres, an uncle Michael Walker, and grandpa-in-law John Vanderwerff.
Left to cherish his memory are his son, Edward Walker; wife Joy of Spencer, IA; parents, Tom and CJ Walker of Spencer, IA; 2 brothers, Coire (Jessie Bathke) Walker of Fort Collins, CO and Trenton (Jessika) Walker of Spencer, IA; one niece, Hollee; 2 nephews, Clyde and Colt; grandma Norma Whalen, grandpa John Acres; mother-in-law- Julie Farence; grandma-in-law, Delores Vanderwerff; other relatives; and many friends.
