David L Kannedy

David Lee Kannedy (71) died of complications from cancer on August 11, 2023, in his home in Spencer, Iowa. He was attended by his wife and daughter during his last days in his house with the help of hospice.

David was born the youngest of eighteen children to Ira and Stella Kannedy on February 18, 1952. He lived his rambunctious young life in Council Bluffs with his family. David enlisted in the United States Army and served 3 years in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged.

David enjoyed his time outside camping, having campfires, grilling, and spending time with family and friends. He was strong willed and stubborn at times, but he also had an enormous heart and a wonderful sense of humor. David was also very clever and full of knowledge he learned throughout his full life. He enjoyed passing this knowledge on to his children and grandchildren. 

David will be remembered for all the heart he shared with his family and friends. David is survived by his current wife of 36 years, Teresa; children, Steffany, John, Senjen, and Siannon; and 10 grandchildren. He will be missed dearly.
