David Frederick Feldhacker was born September 22, 1956, in Spencer, IA, to Raymond and Vernice (DeWeese) Feldhacker.
David graduated from Spencer High School and married Carole Gifford in 1977. David and Carole had 3 children: Christopher, Beth, and Kelley. He worked several years for Eaton Corp before starting DC Construction company.
He was a brain cancer survivor, diagnosed in 1987. He received Jesus as his personal Lord and Savior March 25, 1993.
David passed away in the arms of his loving wife May 9, 2025, at the age of 68 at St. Luke’s nursing home, where he had resided since 2018. He died from complications due to the long-term effects of his medical treatments and resulting brain injury.
David was preceded in death by his parents, sister Londa Long, brother John Feldhacker, brother Mike Feldhacker, and William that died in infancy.
David is survived by his wife Carole; son Christopher (Allison) and 3 granddaughters Samara, Mya, and Ayla of Ankeny, IA; daughter Beth, currently residing in Israel; daughter Kelley (Christopher) Dunham of Lees Summit, MO; his brother Edward (Elaine) Feldhacker of Oakland, IA; his brother Donald (Deanna) Feldhacker of Lawton, IA; and his sister Laura Feldhacker of Spencer, IA.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Avera Home Hospice.
Foundation Church
A Celebration of Life Luncheon will be held at Foundation Church, with no formal services being held.
