Dale Glackin

Dale D Glackin, 67, passed away on May 23rd, 2025 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, surrounded by his family, who he cherished very much.

Dale is a graduate of the class of 1976 from Spencer High School. After graduating high school, Dale attended Ellsworth Community College. Upon finishing his two-year degree, Dale continued his education at Briar Cliff College earning his degree in Business Management. Dale loved the grocery store industry, working in various communities, most recently Spencer’s Hy-Vee.

In the fall of 1993, Dale began working at Polaris Industries, where he continued his employment until his retirement in March 2025.

In June of 1995, Dale married his love Debbie A. Eilers, this union celebrates two beautiful children, Jesse and Catherine Glackin.

Throughout Dale’s life he shared many stories about family with friends, coworkers and other family. Dale will always be remembered for the unconditional love he shared with each person he met. Dale’s smile and blue eyes will always be in our hearts. Dale enjoyed watching the Minnesota Twins and rarely missed a game. Dale enjoyed golfing with his son, Jesse. He also enjoyed watching Formula 1 races with his daughter Catherine.

Dale and Debbie enjoyed going for drives, eating great food, going to movies, and spending time together. Deb learned to enjoy the Twins and Dale learned to enjoy old western movies and shows.

Dale will be truly missed by family and friends.

Dale is survived by his wife Debbie Glackin, son Jesse (Shea) Glackin of Omaha, NE, daughter Catherine Glackin of Spencer. His mother Alice Glackin of Spencer and many friends and relatives.

He is preceded in death by his father Thomas Glackin; Maternal grandparents John (Ella) Menke; Paternal grandparents Thomas (Barbara) Glackin.
