Dale Eric Nelson

   Dale Eric Nelson, the son of Stanley and Jean (Lanpher) Nelson, was born on June 3, 1955 in Spencer, Iowa.  After graduating from Terril High School, he worked at Spencer Pak and then began farming with his dad on the family farm. 

  After meeting each other at the Tree House Bar, playing foosball, their courtship began. On May 29, 1976, Dale and Bert were married at the United Methodist Church in Terril. Following their marriage, they farmed and eventually settled on the Nelson Family farm. Dale loved hunting and fishing.

  They also enjoyed bowling, golfing, and playing cards with friends.  Summers were spent taking their kids to Valleyfair and going to Minnesota Twins games. But most of all, they loved every moment they spent with their granddaughters, Maddie and Tessa. 

   Dale passed away on Monday, September 5, 2022 in Rochester, MN at the age of 67. Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Jean Nelson. 

   Left to cherish their memory are their two sons: Owen (Amy) Nelson; Travis (Meredith) Nelson and their daughters Maddie and Tessa, all of Whittemore, IA; one daughter, Bridget Nelson of Fairmont, MN; his siblings: Doug (Deb) Nelson of Milford, IA; Jerry (Candie) Nelson of Spirit Lake, IA; Jeana (Tom) Ridder of Omaha, NE; and Dean Jacobus of CA; other relatives and many friends.
