Clarice "Carrie" Willene Krieger

Clarice “Carrie” Kriger, 91, of Spencer, passed peacefully on March 17, 2026.

Carrie was born on September 9, 1934, in Moneta to Melvin and Doris (Short) Westphal. Carrie graduated from Moneta High School in 1952.

Carrie married Robert “Bob” Krieger on June 7, 1953 in Hartley, IA. Carrie worked at the Hallmark Store at the Southpark Mall in Spencer for 20 years retiring in 2002. Carrie enjoyed traveling with friends and family. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Spencer.

Carrie is survived by her son Dr. Perry Krieger of Cedar Falls, her daughter Lisa Walker of Des Moines; two grandsons, Justin Krieger and A.J. Walker; her sister Claudia Colstock of Aberdeen, South Dakota.
