Charles William Peters

     Charles William Peters, was born into a large family on July 26, 1940 in Hartley, IA. When Charles was 10 years old, his mother died and he went to live with his relatives for a while before going into an orphanage. He was adopted when he was 11 by Lester and Marie Peters of Lytton, IA. He attended and graduated from Lytton High School.

     On November 30, 1963, Charles married Connie Rassler in Marathon, IA. Throughout his life he worked in the Dairy Industry for several years. He then went to work for Eaton Corp in Spencer and then Eden Prairie, MN for 25 years before he retired. He moved from Eden Prairie back to Spencer in 2013.

     In his retirement, he enjoyed watching baseball, basketball, football and horse racing.

     Charles passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at his home at the age of 80. He was preceded in death by his biological and adoptive parents; three sisters: Della, Marion and Bessie and six brothers: Raymond, Lee, Jim, Lawrence, Delbert and Clarence.

     Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 56 years, Connie of Spencer, IA; his sons: Scott (Julie) Peters, of Shakopee, MN and their children: Zachary Peters and Lauren Peters both of  the Twin Cities, MN and Daniel Peters of Spencer, IA; one sister, Alice Betten of Pomeroy, IA; two brothers: Richard Bethel of South Dakota and Donald Bethel of Kansas; other relatives and friends.





SERVICES
Private Family Service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, October 1, 2020 at the Warner Chapel in Spencer.
