Candace Joy Clark

     Candace Joy Clark, the daughter of Gale and Gwen (Lane) Howe, was born September 21, 1951 in Storm Lake, IA. Her childhood years were spent on a farm near Marathon, IA area, where she attended school and graduated from Marathon High School. She also attended Spencer School of Business, studying law.

     Candace married Daniel Clark on September 24, 1977 in Spencer, IA. To this union 2 children were born. They later divorced. Candace worked as a legal secretary for Greer Law firm, Abstract Office in Sibley, IA, and was part of the start up of NW IA Title & Abstract.

     Candace enjoyed collecting cookie jars and antique head vases, reading, drawing, visiting antique stores, walking, and traveling. She was a member of First Congregational Church, ADA board member, and Gladiola Society.

     Candace passed away on Friday, October 2, 2020 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD, at the age of 69. She was preceded in death by her parents.

     Left to cherish her memory are her 2 children, Griffin Clark of Dorr, MI and Trenton Clark of Spencer, IA; one sister, Coni Miller of Anthon, IA; other relatives; and many friends.
