Betty Ann Sindt

Everly

   Betty Ann Sindt, the daughter of Alvin and Marie (Berberich) Norman was born September 2, 1925 in Royal, Iowa.  Her childhood years were spent in Royal, where she received her early education.  She later continued her education in Everly and graduated from Everly High School.  After her schooling, she taught country school for two years.

     Betty married Arnold Sindt on August 29, 1945 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Everly, Iowa.  Following their marriage, they farmed the family Century Farm until retiring in 1986.  Betty was an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Everly until it closed and then became a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Hartley.  Betty enjoyed raising and spending time with her family.

     She passed away at the Community Memorial Health Center in Hartley, Iowa on Sunday, June 2, 2019 at the age of 93.  Betty was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Arnold in October of 2009 and sister, Jean Steinbeck.

     Left to cherish her memory are her children: Norm Sindt of Everly, Cynthia (Darwin) Feldt of LaVista, NE, Mary (Keith) DeJager of Yankton, SD, Roland Sindt of Everly, Allen (Robin) Sindt of Everly, Gaylen (Shelly) Sindt of Fostoria, IA, Lisa (Jay) Johnson of Hartley and Lori (Lee) Schilling of Sanborn; 17 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; one brother, John (Virginia) Norman of Westin, MO; many other relatives and friends.  

SERVICES
Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M., Thursday, June 6, 2019 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Hartley.
