Ardyce was active in her church, First Christian Church of Spencer, serving on various boards and helping out on any service or activity that went on at the church.  Ardyce loved to garden, can and cook. She was famous for her Christmas spreads with every kind of cookie and dessert you could imagine.

Ardyce loved arts and crafts. From needle point to making afghan blankets for everyone. She would make ceramic characters to paint for the various seasons. She loved it all and the enjoyment of making them with her friends.
