Alice Marie Larson

Alice Marie Larson, the daughter of Leroy C. Warren and Gladys (Ferguson) Larson, was born on October 16, 1940, in Benson Minnesota. Her family moved to several communities in northwest Iowa, before settling in Spencer. She grew up and received her education here.

     On July 16, 1957, Alice married James Larson in Jackson, Minnesota. Following their marriage, the couple lived in Spencer. Alice did have some part-time jobs over the years, but mostly she was a homemaker and was able to stay home and raise her family. She enjoyed crocheting and making blankets, she liked to go dancing in her younger years and was active in the churches she attended. She loved to spend time with her family and enjoyed traveling to Minnesota to be with her siblings.

     Alice passed away on September 12, 2020, at the Spencer Hospital at the age of 79. She was preceded in death by her parents; her 5 brothers and 3 sisters; her daughter-in-law, Valerie Larson and her granddaughter, Alexis Bassett.

     Left to cherish her memory are her husband, James of Spencer, IA; her children: Glenda Webster (Terry), Dennis Larson (Rebecca), Thomas Larson and Bonnie Anderson all of Spencer, IA; 8 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
