Joel Roos has been a licensed funeral director since 1984 and a partner in Warner Funeral Home since 1992. He received his B.A. degree from Buena Vista College in Storm Lake in 1982 and a degree in Mortuary Science from Dallas School of Funeral Service in 1983.
Joel is a member of Hope Reformed Church in Spencer. He is a member of the Masonic Lodge, past member of the Spencer Jaycees, Iowa Great Lakes Chapter of the American Red Cross and a past board member of the Spencer Tailtwister High School Booster Club.
Joel and his wife, LuAnn have three children: Nate, Maggie and Ben. |

Brad Hawn has been a licensed funeral director since 1985 and a partner in Warner Funeral Home since 1994. He attended the University of Northern Iowa and received his B.A. degree from Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa and a degree in Mortuary Science from Worsham College of Mortuary Science in Chicago, IL in 1984.
Brad is a member of the Hope Reformed Church in Spencer. He is a past board member of the Spencer Family Y.M.C.A. where he also serves on the Century Club, as well as the Endowment Committee. He served as a board member on the Clay County American Heart Association for several years as the Communications Chairman. He is also a member of the Spencer Rotary Club, Spencer Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, and a past member of the Spencer Jaycees.
Brad enjoys being involved in his daughter Abby and son Bailey’s lives and activities.

Gale Gruhn has been a licensed funeral director for over 30 years. He attended Mortuary School at the University of Minnesota and began working for Warner Funeral Home in 1973. He became a partner until his semi-retirement in 2004.
Gale is a member of Sacred Heart Church in Spencer, where he has served on the Finance Council for several years. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus, where he has attained the height of Fourth Degree, and has, in the past, been on the board serving as Grand Knight. He played on the Sacred Heart softball team for many years, was a member of the Spencer Jaycees for twelve years, and joined HiNoon Kiwanis, where he continued to be active for many years.
Gale and his wife Terry have two children, Brady and Jenny, and two grandchildren. |

Jeff Swank has been a licensed funeral director since 1996 and has been working at Warner Funeral Home since 2000 and became a partner at Warner Funeral Home in 2006. He received his A.A. degree from Des Moines Area Community College in Ankeny in 1994 and a degree in Mortuary Science from Worsham College of Mortuary Science in Wheeling, IL in 1995.
Jeff is a member of Grace United Methodist Church and Kiwanis. Jeff and his wife, Carla, have two children, Michael and Marisa.

Diane Sparks is the Administrative Assistant & Aftercare Consultant for Warner Funeral Home. She began working for the funeral home in 1999. Diane is a graduate of the Spencer School of Business in Spencer.
Diane is a lifetime resident of the Spencer area. She is a member of the Hope Reformed Church in Spencer where she has served on several committees. In her spare time Diane enjoys spending time with her husband, Dwight and her three sons, Curt and his wife, Sara, Tyler and Tony. |

Matt Schubert, has been a licensed funeral director since 2002. He attended Western Iowa Tech, Wayne State College and is a graduate of Dallas Institute of Funeral Service, where he received his degree in Mortuary Science. Matt is a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Spencer and a member of Pheasant’s Forever. Matt and his wife, Julie have 2 daughters, Lauren & Addison. |

Kris Bender, a longtime resident of Spencer, is a Preplanning Consultant for Warner Funeral Home and works in the area of advanced funeral planning. She is a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she serves on the Stewardship committee. Kris is also active in the local chapter of Beta Sigma Phi. She and her husband Scott have two children, Blake and Brooke. |
