“Knowing Lavon was a delight! My first memory of her was as a child, attending a 4-H meeting (?) at her farm home. Years later I would see her often when I was doing things with my mom. Lavon was such a bright light and I always felt she was genuinely glad to see me... a gift she imparted with her smile and warm countenance. May God comfort you now as you celebrate her long, rich life, and in all the days to come. ”

“Dear Family,
What a super nice lady your mom and grandmother.
When I worked at Longhouse/Northshire she came every month so faithfully to play for the residents.
I also got to see her several times at Rock the Roof in the summer. She loved to come and listen to the music.
I had sort of lost
track of her after retiring from Longhouse/Northshire.
RIP sweet Lavon.

“My sympathies to Lavon’s family. Lavon and my mother, Lucille Thuirer Johnson, were friends from their young days. Lavon accompanied my grandfather, Leland Thuirer who played the sax, at the nursing home. She and I had a nice long visit at Rock the Roof in 2019. I was amazed she remembered me immediately because it had been several years since I had last seen her. RIP dear Lavon.”
