“We have had bunches of talks, laughs and stories with Bruce. Many about Lorraine, the kids and grand kids. Many about hunting and some about how to back up the boat into the area beside the garage. :) Sorry Bruce, had to mention that. We are going to miss the talks, smiles, jokes and everything you shared with us. Lorraine and family, we are so sorry for your loss. ”

“To The Lamport families - please accept our sincerest condolences for Mr. L's passing. He had a very rich life. Between working hard, cramming every moment in with family that he loved dearly, his love of his friends and his hunting buddy Mr. Vern Ross. Oh my goodness the stories he told us . Lorraine -- he loved you for 70 + years ( not very many people have that lasting love ), I often told Mr. L -- You are the toughest boss I ever had …. but you were the best boss I ever had. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this hard time of loss. May God give you all peace and a soft place to fall . I for one was blessed with working for this fine man for 25+ years. Rest easy Mr. L -- you will be missed. ”

“The world has lost an amazing man. Bruce was my boss at one of my first "real" jobs. His tolerance and patience were second to none! One of my favorite memories of Bruce happened shortly after he had just lectured the staff on the fact that too many dishes were being broken from filling the bus tubs too full. If it continued, we would have to start paying for them. Just a couple of nights later, I was preparing to take my bus cart back to the dish washer when it caught on the carpet and tipped over. Plates and leftover food went flying throughout the crowded dining room. I turned to look at Bruce at the carving station with a look of terror on my face. He just closed his eyes and shook his head! I know without a doubt that I am a better person because I worked for Bruce. His life is one worth celebrating, though we will mourn his loss. My sympathy to his family.”
