Brady Jo Hare was born in Walnut Grove, Minnesota, to Helen (Radtke) and Don Anderson on June 27, 1950. Brady attended school in Walnut Grove early in her childhood until graduating from Walnut Grove high school in 1968. As a child, she was given the honor of owning the small grove for which the town of Walnut Grove was named.

Brady moved to Sioux Falls, South Dakota, where she attended and graduated from Augustana College. Brady worked many fulfilling jobs after college, her first as an accountant for Airway Service, during which she was the proud owner of a Silver 250 Honda motorcycle that she often spoke of fondly.

Brady moved to Spencer, Iowa, where she worked as a receptionist for Dr. Shively, DDS. She was a foster mother, and her love of kids and passion for teaching was shown in her accomplished works as a computer instructor at Iowa Lakes for high school students from Spencer and northwest Iowa. Brady was also the Computer and Spanish teacher at Iowa Great Lakes Lutheran School where she was adored by all of her students, including her daughter.

Brady was a commodities broker for AA Commodities for a time, and was pivotal in many capacities of several family owned Christian bookstores.

Brady was known for her intrepid spirit, her love of family, horses, the Vikings, and an overabundance of love and faith in Jesus Christ. She was a devout Christian who led many people to his everlasting path.

Brady is preceded in death by her grandparents on both sides; her father, Don Anderson; brother, Erik Anderson; and two infant sisters.

Brady is survived by her son, Samuel Hare of Spencer Iowa; daughter, Libby Hare of Denver, Colorado; her mother, Helen (Radtke) Anderson of Spencer, Iowa; brother and sister-in-law, Tony and Teri Anderson of Orange City, Iowa; nephews and niece-in-law Tyler, Michael, Kyle, and Sarah Anderson; as well as other relatives and many friends.

     She will be dearly missed.

Memorial Services will be held 11:00 A.M., Monday, July 8, 2019, at the Hope Reformed Church in Spencer, Iowa.

There will be a lunch served following the service.

“Helen, Sam & Libby I was so saddened to ready of Brady's passing yet I rejoice in the fact she is out of pain and dancing with Jesus.
I loved to chat with her when I would run into her at the store. My last chat was when she was employed at Walmart. That was a great chat. She was always concerned about my military sons.
A strong woman of faith she led many to the Lord. You are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.”

“Sam, Libby and Helen, We are so sorry for the loss of your sweet Mama and Daughter. Brady had a heart for Jesus, which made her shine. Our kids loved having Ms. Hare - first at a MOPS caregiving when they were wee, and then at IGLLS as elementary school students. They enjoyed much LAUGHTER and LEARNING under her direction. She was always a positive, encouraging force. She didn't despair when things were hard, yet trusted God in all things. We rejoice in her home-going to be with Our Savior, yet mourn her absence with us here on earth. We're praying for you daily. Tim, Susan, Claire & Saul Christensen”
