Jamie Huber, the son of Ronald and Lucille (Laumb) Huber, was born April 17, 1970 in Tioga, ND. Jamie attended elementary school in Westhope, ND. He attended junior high and high school in Minot, ND, where he graduated from Minot in 1990. After high school, Jamie moved to Des Moines, IA, where he worked for Principal Financial in the microfilming division.

In 2010, Jamie moved to Spencer. Although Jamie lived in Spencer, his heart was really in North Dakota where their family farm was located. Jamie had a passion for his family. Jamie was such a perfectionist and had such a compassionate soul. His hobbies included jigsaw puzzles, playing games with his nieces and nephews, horseracing, watching American Pickers, being outdoors and gathering with family. He was an avid sports fan. He loved the Vikings and Hawkeyes but he readily adopted any local team. He was the biggest fan for any team that a family member was involved in.

Jamie was born with Spina Bifida. He was subjected to many surgeries and hurdles, but through it all he remained extremely positive and upbeat. He found total enjoyment in life. Jamie did not complain and never looked for sympathy. His most impressive diagnosis was made recently by his family doctor who deemed Jamie as being his most “patient” patient. Jamie was diagnosed with ALS in his mid 40’s. After a courageous battle, Jamie passed away on March 11, 2019 at the age of 48. He is preceded in death by his grandparents.

Jamie was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Spencer. Jamie had a strong faith that remained intact. He never wavered.

Jamie is survived by his parents, Ron and Lucille of Spencer, IA; his brothers: Kent (Kathie) Huber of Westhope, ND and Danny (Candy) Huber of Spencer, IA; nieces and nephews: Andrea (Jamie) Kruse of Spencer, IA, Derrick Huber of Spencer, IA, Britany (Austin) Boehler of Minot, ND, Bethany  (Josh) Larson of Minot, ND, Jason (Ashley) Huber of Westhope, ND and Logan Huber of Spencer, IA; 10 great nieces and nephews; uncles, aunts, cousins and other relatives and friends.
