Sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. Seeing her photograph looked VERY much like my own mother; Irene Steffen Peterson, daughter of Anna Klatt Steffen. I recall Shirley as her favorite cousin. If geneology is of interest to any of you, please contact me. I am 75 yrs old so do not wait too long! Ronald

Our Deepest Sympathy to the Wede family...
Your mother, grandmother is a special woman and no one can ever take her place. As time progresses you will look back on the wonderful and not so wonderful times that you have shared with her. Some of those memories you might have forgot you had [or wished you forgot]. She has raised you and loved you all, she was so very proud of her family. Now it is her time, she has earned her wings and it is time for her to fly. To leave the ones she loves here on earth to be with the ones she has given over to God. She will be with you always, your mother - your grandmother - your angel.

Please accept my condolences. Aunt Shirley has a generous spirit that lives on. I still have many awesome memories from my visits to the Wede Farm and wish I could be there to reminisce. Of all things, my mission here in Afghanistan is that of Agriculture Team Officer in Charge! Take care all, Steve

Andy, Colleen, Gabby, Mike, Kathy and kids,
Loss is never easy...no matter the time or circumstance. I hope you can all find comfort in family, memories and the knowledge that you were well loved by your mother.
Our family has had the privilege to get to know two of the Wede boys, and although we never met Shirley I can tell she was an amazing woman by the family she has left behind.
All our love, respect and sympathy to each of you.
